Behr Paint Company Applicators

  • Behr Paint had historically been a chemical company, while the brand and it’s sub-brands were visually established for marketing purposes, it had no physical form or design language.
  • Multiple projects involved hands on design and engineering, managing multiple Industrial Design consultants, and being a leader and mentor for in-house designers and engineers.
  • Multiple patents assigned and pending in aerosol paints and paint applicators

Replacing a Ride a Disneyland – Concept

  • Autopia has been in near continuous operation at the Disneyland resort since it’s opening in 1955.
  • The Walt Disney Company recently announced that they would be abandoning the internal combustion engines that have driven the cars since the ride was launched.
  • The following concept is a reimagining of the ride as an electric vehicle that still offers youngsters their first opportunity behind the wheel but also points towards the always just out of reach concept of the flying car with retro-futuristic styling based on the original cars designed by Bob Gurr.

A Simple Toy Helicopter – Concept

  • Toys are a key contributor to plastic waste given that with rare exception they are discarded when they are outgrown
  • The furniture industry produces significant amounts of waste both including solid wood that is too small to be useful
  • This toy helicopter limits the use of plastic to the rotor, takes advantage of waste wood from the furniture industry, and can be completely disassembled and recycled and/or composted.
